Ford Pro and Deutsche Post DHL Group recently signed aMemorandum of Understanding to accelerate the deployment ofelectrified vans used for logistics operations worldwide. In doingso, both companies outline their commitment to providesustainable/green services.Underscoring the planned collaboration,Ford Pro will equip Deutsche Post DHL Group with more than 2,000electric delivery vans worldwide by the end of 2023 to enhance itsleading position in using electric vans for last mile deliveryworldwide. The inked agreement covers a full suite of solutions tooperate the electric fleet including access to Ford Pro’s connectedE-Telematics software and charging solutions in order to reducecosts and optimise efficiency as a part of the two organisations’common zero emission goals.
Ford is targeting zero emissions for all vehicle sales andcarbon neutrality across its European footprint of facilities,logistics and suppliers by 2035, and carbon neutrality globally nolater than 2050.Deutsche Post DHL Group, the world’s leadinglogistics company, is committed to strengthen clean operations forclimate protection and will invest EUR 7 billion in the currentdecade on its path to net-zero emissions logistics. Deutsche PostDHL Group is targeting a share of 60% e-vehicles used for carbonneutral pick-up and delivery by 2030, now also powered by FordPro’s line-up of electrified vehicles including the all-newE-Transit.1
